This is usually done from the stale bread remaining. Can also be prepared with fresh bread. In the above picture I haven’t used coriander leaves and coconut, but if you add both or one of them the taste will increase.
1. Bread cut in to small pieces 4-5 cups
2. Onions(optional) 2
3. Green chillies 3-4
4. Turmeric powder(Optional) A pinch
5. Curry leaves 6-7
6. Asafoetida A pinch
7. Mustard, Cumin seeds, Urad daal half tea spn each
8. Sugar One fourth tea spn
9. Oil 1 tbl spn
10. Salt As per taste
Heat oil and add mustard, cumin seeds, urad daal. When they start to splutter add curry leaves and chillies. Add onions and fry till they turn to red. Add bread pieces and mix well. Add sugar and salt. Mix well.
