Jeera-Pepper Kadhi (Jeer-meerya kadhi)

This is one of my favourite konkani dish. My aayi is an expert in preparing this. Since we add jeera and garlic to this, it is good for health.

1. Coconut 1/2
2. Cumin seeds(Jeera) 1 tea spn
3. Coriander seeds 1 tea spn
4. Pepper 6-7
5. Salt as per taste
6. Red chillies 3-4
7. Tamarind small piece
8. Garlic 4-5 flakes
9. Oil 2 tea spns

Heat oil and fry cumin, coriander seeds, pepper and red chillies. Grind with coconut, tamarind and salt. Heat the ground masala with sufficient water(to a consistency of sambar) for 10min. Heat oil in a pan. Add garlic, when they turn to read, add to the cooked masala. Serve with hot rice.
