Rasam – 1

1. Toor Daal 2 tbl spns
2. Grated Coconut 2 tbl spns
3. Tomato 1
4. Cumin seeds(Jeera) 1/2 tspn
5. Cloves(Lavang) 3-4
6. Methi seeds 1/4 tspn
7. Sugar 1/2 tspn
8. Red chillies 4-5
9. Oil
10. Salt
11. Coriander leaves
12. Mustard seeds
13. Curry leaves

Heat oil and fry cumin seeds, cloves, methi seeds & red chillies. Grind with coconut. Cook Toor daal.
Cook Tomato pieces in water. When cooked, add ground masala, daal, sugar, salt and cook for some time. Add water to make it thin, of rasam consistency.
For Tadka, heat oil and add mustard seeds and curry leaves. When mustard starts suluttering, add this to rasam.
Garnish with coriander leaves.
